What is your opinion?

I say it was because of the sheer amount of major bugs across the board for all consoles...

I will admit it has a ton of problems, but the game is playable and I personally enjoy bug finding. It is like unintentional easter eggs. Loved seeing the vid of the doc with his head spinning. Laughs like that are worth the bugs XD
Just my opinion though. I'm sure tons of people would rather not have their immersion broken by hilarious glitches.

I have had almost no issues with my PC version, except the auto saves always revert to several hours before I actually quit the game when I stop playing (I think its a Steam Cloud issue) but who the hell depends on auto saves anyway? They are only good for reloading after you do something stupid or die

Many bugs are just not going to get caught by a small group of testers easily in a sandbox game, but with a huge group of players they will. I don't think the game would've been significantly less buggy if they had delayed the release by a month or two.

People don't seem to understand something,it not like making a new COD where there is not a ton to the game. This is a massively sized game that pushes the limits of consoles. There are going to be glitches and problems at first just like all previously released Bethesda games, so this is really nothing new.

I've not had any problems in 12 hours. The quicksave/autosave reversion. Pretty serious generally speaking, but not for me. And I encountered a helmet that I couldn't pick up.

Very true. Sample size is a huge factor in catching bugs. Different systems, different play choices, different paths taken through terrain, different weapon combinations with enemies, different dialogue choices incorporated with different actions taken. The combinations are massive. Even with 1000 testers playing everyday for a month, they wouldn't nearly catch them all (would barely make a dent in fact). Take into consideration the price of those testers, assume 10 hour work shifts for 30 days at $8 an hour and we have ourselves 2.4 million dollars of testing. Compare that to releasing the game and gathering glitches from players who have payed them and you get profit and free testers compared to delayed release time and payed testers. Make money vs lose money. There is no contest on this subject matter from a producer stand point.
