There should be new weapons(like more crossbows, different looking weapons, and weapons that can be made out of dwemer items like the dwemer gyro or the bent dwemer scrap metal that are different than the normal dwemer weapons, and that are animated, same with shields, ancient nordic maces and war hammers, snow elf weapons, as well as spears and poleaxes). The Goldbrand should also be brought back. There should also should be new armor(like light ebony armor and heavy glass armor, different types of shields like tower, kite, and round, there should also be ancient nordic shields, and heavy ancient calmer armor). I hope the team at Bethesda will work on this and release it for all systems in an update or dlc.

To add on your dwemer idea
There should be ancient types and smithed types useing ingots. The sncient ones would be the dwarven weapons we have now and the smithed weapons would be like a steel sword only it's with dwarven metal ingots... Sort of.
