New World Space

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to create a new mod based on a short story I'm writing. It would have some quests and the basic idea is that you wil have to survive on an island for a certain amount of time, but I'm having some trouble creating the island. Everytime I create a new world space I encounter one or all of the following errors, the entire preview screen is black or the LOD water is everywhere or there is an enormous black hole in the middle of the screen, no matter what you do. If anyone has any advise on how I should go about creating an island, it would be much appriciated.

I'm not a modder or PC user, so I can't help in detail, but perhaps look at Lake Mead and see how it's done? I mean, you'd think it'd be a good building base for your island.

There are a few things you must do to avoid some issues when making a worldspace. The MOST important is making sure you set your default water height to AT LEAST 10500 units. That prevents weird shore line issues in the geck, and ingame. Now, if you want an island, you should also set your default land height to that of BELOW the water, so by default it's ocean. So, do the following. Make your worldspace. DON'T load into yet. Set the default water height, AND default LOD water height to 11000 units. Now set the default land height to somewhere around 10000-10500 units, depending on how deep you want the water to be around your island. Then you can load into your worldspace, and in cell 0,0 start raising the land up above the water and expanding that raised area outward to create your island. Creating a new worldspace is one of the hardest things to do in the geck, so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I'm currently making my third worldspace, so I think I've figured out how to get around any issues.

If your issues persist, try taking a screenshot of them so I can see what exactly it looks like.
