New X360 Marketplace sub-title....

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:46 pm

Interesting that Microsoft changed the sub-title of the Dawnguard adds. On release it was "End the Tyranny of the Sun", not it's "The Ultimate Choice". lol Laughable.

Dun goofed, they did. At least they bothered to fix it.

Edit: Although "Ultimate" is a bit of an exaggeration, at least it reflects there being two sides to choose from instead of just vamps.

Sure it is.

We may not be blotting it out permanently, but even for 12 hours means it doesn't have an iron grip over the Vampires anymore. The Tyranny has ended. In it's place is a revolving Democracy... :D

Also in a way as well you can stop it when ever you want with Auriel's bow. So the tyranny has ended for anyone who's a vampire and carries that.

yes you can blot out the sun for 12 hours, only in an area that actually has the sun visible in a land that is always cloudy and snowy.
for anyone who is looking forward to the dlc and wanting to actually "end" the sun it will be a complete let down, like it was for me.
im glad it was changed.

HAHAHAHA THIS IS HILARIOUS! They had to change it! I literally rofled! I've never rofled before guys! This is so rich.

Oh and you also can't "end the tyranny of the sun" if it's too early and can't find the sun yet. Seriously that almost kills the purpose because it's most useful when it just hits 5:00AM and you're out in the wilderness.

When you aim Auriel's Bow at the sun, the screen will briefly flash red. This works even when in blizzards and the like.

There really isn't even a choice at the end for either side? The sub title should be more like "pick which side appeals to you more but play the same main quest!"

Even when the sun is out, the Bow doesn't work for me.

Yeah...it's not really that big of a deal.

I was chopping vampires to pieces before Dawnguard, now I'm doing it after. No biggie.

I know right? This whole aspect of the dlc was totally a rip-off. You can't even see the sun early in the morning, which is usually when you find yourself needing it.

This, I thought some things like becoming a vampire lord or blotting out the sun was exclusive to the vampire side only but nope we can do that on both sides plus there is the lack of choice.

I feel like Bethesda looked at how Bioware took their Mass Effect 3 endings and said: "hey, maybe we could do this for a whole dlc". They then cut green, and left red and blue, because having 3 illusions of choice leading to the same fate was just too generous.

That first subtitle is quite biased, they actually urged us to join the vampires in the E3 and trailer, now here ... No wonder it got some average reviews, everyone just played the vampire side and some may have hated the concept .
