New Xbox layout, NEW crashing problems

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:15 am

After the last update I thought the big problems where taken care of but ever since xbox update it's layout it seems I can only play New Vegas for about 2 mins before it freezes on me if I actually get lucky and make it that far. I don't know if they are connected but still. Anyone else having this problem. A friend at work is saying he's having the same problem so I know I'm not alonw.

I have the exact same problem, the game worked fine till I applied the update, now it freezes after a couple of minutes of games play.. or if I press the right bumper at all. Very annoying.

Word of caution, there have been a couple posts on the boards in the last week or so where people have actually had their xbox break because they restarted it too many times due to all the bugs in FNV. If it keeps crashing I would only hard restart the xbox a couple times before I would call it quits. Just about every xbox owner I know has had to send it back due to RROD issue from normal use. Repeated hard restarts of your xbox can only increase the likelihood of you getting some issue causing it to break. You can always try to take the game back and exchange it for a different copy. I believe someone on the boards said that worked for them. Unfortunately, xboxs arent known for their durability and add to that the countless bugs some people have encountered with FNV, I fear you may just have to wait for the next patch to have any success. FNV really is a great game, in theory. I managed to finish it, but encountered several serious issues which required me to lose hours and hours of real life gameplay. I cant image the frustration you and others are feeling that have issues that make the game unplayable. We all paid $60 for the game, why some people have minor issues, others have huge issues, and still others have little to no issues.... thats the million dollar question.
