So wandering around the deathclaw quarry I find a couple of Great Khans up on a ridge, one of them approaches me with the unmistakeable accent of a Kiwi, (The Vault wiki says Afrikaans, but thats definitly not a South African accent...).

Sounds south african to me but whatever. Not sure why a south african accent in the middle of NV would be any more or less rare than someone from new zealand.

She sounds Australian to me, but New Zealand is just a suburb of Australialand to us Yanks, so I wouldn't be able to tell a difference in accents, anyways. Certainly didn't sound South African - not enough of an accent for that, but my only real exposure to South African accents is films like District 9, so maybe it's actually South African after all. *shrug*

I found it rather odd myself, especially since her father doesn't have that accent at all (though he does say she takes after her mom, and she's not in the game at all as far as I know). I'm pretty sure her voice actor does other characters in the game and none of them have that accent, so it's probably deliberate for some reason.

Then again, F3 had the Irishman and at least one Brit, so it's not entirely unheard of.

Naw - you've got that mixed up. Canadians are Americans, not the other way around. (Canada being the smaller country in that comparison, just like New Zealand is the smaller country in the comparison of Aussialand->Zealand)

Some parts of Canada was populated before the US, thus US = canadian.
Then again, scandinavian vikings reached canada before anyone else, thus Canada = scandinavian.

I assume you mean the country with the smaller population. Canada is, in fact, larger although less densely populated.

Canada is geographically (barely) larger but politically/economically/culturally/demographically smaller than the US.
