Nexus Premium?

Post » Thu Jun 28, 2012 2:33 pm

When a mod is "Premium Only" does that mean you need to pay for a Nexus Premium Membership to download it? I'm assuming yes, but i'm pretty dissappointed and just wanted to make sure.

-thanks

There's extra download options for Premium users for faster speeds. That's it, though.

Download links are available for all users.

It'd probably cause a revolt if they did that, not to mention it'd be extremely hypocritical as mod authors cannot even vaguely suggest that they'd like a donation on the Nexus.

Premium members also have no ads (I know there's always ad block plus, but that feels like freeloading to me) and access to all of their previously downloaded material. This has been immensely useful for me, and will be shortly, since I just re-installed New Vegas the other day and will now be re-installing most of the mods I had used in my last install.

Oh awesome, I was gonna be pretty upset if that were true. I just ordered the game and I was looking for mods that I'd like. I guess I just misinterpreted something that said premium only next to the mod.

Another benefit of being a premium member is...well let's just say I saw a premium member insult a mod the other day in such a way that he would've been insta/perma-banned if it had been a non-premium member who wrote it. So being a premium member seems to give you almost total immunity from the iron fist of the Nexus moderators. Yes double standards and corruption at the Nexus...surprise surprise.

Pretty sure Bethesda wouldn't be too happy, either.
