.nif file edeting with NifTool?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:57 am

OK so i have edited both daedric curiass .nif files so that the cuirass have smaller pauldrons, originally they clip in to the head when using some weapons.
I place them in there right location so they will replace the vanilla mesh, but still it shows up with the vanilla pauldrons?

Is there something more you need to do after you alter the NiNode values (Translation/Rotation/Scale) for the pauldrons?, if so what??

Would be helpful if you could go into a bit more detail. Like what you did exactly, what tools did you use etc. Like this it is quite difficult to tell.

Already wrote what tool i did use and what i did?...(sorry wrote the wrong name of the tool in the header).

1. NifScope.
2. Altered the NiNode values (Translation/Rotation/Scale) for the pauldrons.

EDIT: If i look at the cuirass in CK it has the altered pauldrons i made, but not in-game?

The problem may be couse the "pauldrons" are rigged? if you do not change the rig skin then they may switch back into an undesired position ....
