I don't really have any suggestions, just observations.

I've been playing a spellsword-type myself lately, it's really fun. Best of both worlds. In my case, my character likes wearing light armor instead of heavy. All his gear is enchanted, too. The only downside is he doesn't use shields, and he can only sustain a certain number of blows before he has to run. But he can usually put Fear or some other spell upon his enemies if he needs time to heal up.

I'm going to try a Nightblade, too, at some point, maybe if my spellsword ever dies. I really like the idea of having a vampire Nightblade (someone in another thread came up with this idea).

I've been thinking of making a spellsword-specific thread lately, kinda cool you beat me to it, little Dark Dragon Elf.
