Does he just stand there 24/7 ?
I spoke to this guy, forget his name, about something killing his cattle, so i waited at around 11;45pm too see what it was, i saw a nightkin master coming, i crouched down incase it may have tried to destroy my head.. But it just stood there...
Ive done the mission with Ily, the research one, i dont know if thats got anything to do with it, but he just stands there, no matter how much time i wait or sleep, i pickpoket'ed him before, he has a note, minigun and some ammo, but i reloaded the save from when he was just standing there...
Is it a bug ?
If so, thats 3 bugs now ive experienced, the unique plasma rifle bug, game freeze (Only once) now this..
Help would be appreciated!

I don't know about you guys, but in my straight week of playing NV, I have experienced SEVERAL bugs.
Here's some of them.

VATS standstill glitch

Mission marker glitches

Weapon holding/shooting/VATS glitch.
(In this glitch, your character holds his gun as if he were just standing. Similar to the small bug in FO3. You have to holster or reload or change weapons to come out of this glitch)

Faction glitches
(Not really a glitch, but when I kill a member in a room with nobody around, my rep goes down! What's up with that?)

Also, ive got Boone as a companion, i had Rex also, but i told Rex to go back to Lucky 38... He isnt there ?

ive had the Black background bug, 2 freezes, one where it launched me a bizillion feet in the air (i liked that one) and finally my hunting rifle fully auto (the muties never had a chance)

That Nightkin is part of a mission in Novaculite, although I think it is unmarked. You talk to no-bark and he mentions a family whose cattle keep getting killed. So you talk to them and they tell you to figure it out. I couldn't talk to the mutant and settled for killing him, gaining fame in Novac in the process.

the mission is kind of bugged, i had a hard time finishing it and had to reload an old save, i forget exactly how i did it, but i'm pretty sure the only way you can complete it is if you don't go near the nightkin or pickpocket him, you have to wait off to the side until he uncloaks and kills a brahmin, then you can kill him and finish the quest.

That's the way reputation works. There are plenty of hitmen in real life who have reputations for being cold blooded murderers even though no one has ever seen them kill people.
