Nocturnal or Hircine? Who gets to have me! :P

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 2:46 am

I noticed when playing for the companions that when you become a werewolf they say Hircine claims your soul upon death for his personal hunting grounds. Okay, that's wonderful. But then if you also do the Thieves Guild quest to the end Nocturnal also claims the right to your soul when you die. Not to mention Peryite hints at possibly seeing you again once you perish. So... who gets to have your soul? I find it funny to be honest. I can see the daedric princes fighting over the rights to Dovahkiin's soul. Maybe joint custody? haha.. Honestly in the end I feel bad for people who make it big in TES as they always become the targets of the Daedra. Neravarine, Champion of Cyrodiil, Dovahkiin, etc. The Daedra all smell a powerful soul and like rabid wolves they pounce which changes the life of that individual forever. Almost best to stay under the radar. Oh, I am the Dragonborn? Time to become a quiet blacksmith for the rest of my days.

The Dragonborn goes to the afterlife of his choosing at the end of his days. Regardless of any deals he or she may have made. A deal is only as strong as its ability to be enforced.

Yeah but
Spoiler
your spirit just goes into the Eldergloom.. a sort of mixing pot for all souls. Not sure it's intimate or not and if it was I am not sure that is the sort of party I want to be invited to forever. WHY IS THERE A NAKED ORC NEXT TO ME?!

I'm sure Dagon's got dibs on me, though I'm sure Hercine, Nocturnal, Azura and Sanguin have plans for me too.

Where does it need to be said? If by the end of DLC the Dragonborn isn't of the power to beat up a Daedric prince and enforce his own terms, he'll be the weakest PC in a while.

Amelia Strongheart will go to Aetherius on her death, hoping to elude Mehrunes Dagon and Hermeaus Mora, Whom she spurned (refused to kill a dark elf for Dagon and refused to gather blood for Mora).

Honestly, I'd say Nocturnal's got the biggest dibs on you. You actually made an oath to her. The others is just sort of "meh, maybe".

how is Hircine a meh maybe? His is much more of a bound contract than Nocturnal.

You can escape Hircine's contract using the witch-clause. Nocturnal keeps yours regardless of what you do.

I wouldn't call him a mythic dawn supporter.

He's just a boy.

A naive fan boy who has no idea what he's getting himself into.

If you let him live, I doubt he'll ever consort with Mehrune Dagon ever again, as he hints when he comes back to Dawnstar.

Plus, hearing his frightened screams as he hurtles down the stairs after witnessing the bloodthirsty dremora wielding huge 2 handed axes is worth it!

No no. Sovngarde was now shown to be an actual place, not the fabrication of a person's mind as the Dreamsleeve would be. It works as a Daedric Realm, in a way made by Shor.

he didn't do that on my game. He attacked me viciously and died pathetically haha. You would think this boy would be smart enough to realize that asking a Daedric Prince to reforge an artifact just so you can selfishly hold it in your museum is a BAD IDEA. ESPECIALLY Mehrunes Dagon. That guy deserves a face palm.

@werewolf well I did research on the UESP and it said that the Nords believe it to be but it's really Aetherius. I don't know who to believe, you or the wiki :\

I suppose a matter like this is supposed to be vague so that people can interpret and create their own fate? I would love it if Bethesda did it this way but they didn't do that with the Champion of Cyrodiil who became Sheogorath.
