Non-removable turrets in spawns

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:40 pm

I am thrilled with the idea of having turrets in the spawn points that cant be disabled/ destroyed.

I can't stand spawn killers in other games so I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this.

Yes same here I have quit playing a few games because it has been so out of control

Its so bad in some games you can literally die the second you're spawned.

Nuketown, anyone? :frog: (It's actually my favorite Blops map though...when it's not ruined by spawn camping, general camping, and/or excessive helicopters.)

Yes, I'm glad the turrets will be there.

Agreed, most forms of camping piss me off, except snipers staying in a certain area, I'm fine with that. But when someone is camping an elevator in Reach, or sits at the top of the staircase with a shotgun in BFBC2. But overall, I think camping is a minor annoyance, which most games will find a way around.

I faced a team that put 2 people in each spawn and 1 in each 2nd story window. We got shot to hell and back 2sec after spawning.

I'm indifferent to it.

On one hand, great to know that there won't be excessive spawn camping.

On the other hand, sad to think that we as a society need to have automated turrets to keep us from doing something in a game that is obviously cheap and or dikeish.

Because too many people only care about themselves and don't care if other people are having fun.

I do. That's why I don't noobtube, use OP guns, use cheap crap, send hate mail, camp, spawn kill, team kill, etc. The only thing I do that pisses some people off Is snipe but c'mon that actually takes skill. I can't stand when people do all that stuff to me so I don't do them to others.

XD I was watching TV and typing........causes mistakes....anyway, I try to not snipe personally (unless it's co-op and then I merk with it) because I don't want them using cheap tactics to me...

Too many gamers that grew up in the "on-line" age.

When I was a kid my gaming entertainment was dependent on not pissing off my siblings, friends, girlfriends, etc. so I did what I could to play my weaknesses, it's probably why I'm so well rounded but not at the peak of competition in anything except teamwork.

If any of you have played Black Light Tango Down they used a similar turret system as well as force fields to section off areas one couldn't go. But then that just lead to people playing cat and mouse with the turrets as well as force fields, I.E. reverse camping better known as basing. The good news is that once you put an objective into the game then no one bases. :)

Also, on the subject of BLops I'm guessing you guys haven't seen this video.

i personally feel that if your that bad that your being spawn camped you deserve it, i mean its no fun to have to spawn camp to kill people but sometimes you just have to push up to get the kills to get points sorry but if im defending and your team is so bad that we can push you all the way back to your spawn why should i have to fall back and let you out?

Yea. So am I. Well rounded that is. I can use almost any tactic efficiently and often play with my weaknesses(that sounds weird) so that I don't have any in the end. Of course no one is 100% perfect in any game but my weaknesses are minimal. That's what I used to do in any games that I've played with my siblings. It was never fun to demolish the opposition and see them all pissed so I usually picked my worse characters/weapons so we were balanced.
Now that I play games online I kept that mindset that way i can play games multiple ways and further increase the fun and playability of the game while making them game fair for everyone that PAID for it. Nobody wants to waste money on a game that will piss them off every two seconds like MW2.

Have you ever played a call of duty game?

its not that the other team is bad its that someone or a group of people decide hey lets go and see if we can trap them in their spawn so its like shooting fish in a barrel.

They just do it for the kills or to hamper the enemy so they can't leave. sure you can eventually break free but you should never be forced into that pattern.

I have seen it happens but that is mostly due to there terrible spawn system.

To be honest I really don't. I think it's just because you have charisma within the Brink community.
