I recently became aware that I am not able to buy any animal companions due to me already having one. I remember having a stray dog at the start of my playthrough but for some reason he had disappeared and I assumed he was dismissed after a few days. Now I cannot find this dog where I originally found him to formally dismiss him and am unable to hire any animals including DLC offered followers. Is there a current or planned fix for this?
