Noob question on Argonians: cold-blooded?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:35 pm

I have to say, being new to the series, watching reptiles hang out in sub-zero temperatures and diving in freezing cold waters has kind of bothered me in a way. I know there is a species of turtle that can control its body heat (though it's not warm-blooded technically) and some scientists say dinosaurs could have been warm-blooded but to me reptiles are freakin dead or hybernating during cold winters. There are fewer reptiles in northern climates and they disappear/hibernate/shut down (whatever you want to call it) for winter.

I tried reading a bit on Argonians but didn't find an answer: are they considered pure reptiles or a "cross-breed" of some sort? Is there anything in the lore to explain their presence (and survival) in sub-zero temperature?

I know it may sound a bit stupid and possibly noob but I need answers! :turtle:

Thanks

Could you point me to a source on the lore that talk about Argonians and their origin? Would be appreciated.
