Noooo - I have been robbed!

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:25 pm

Lol.... Can't believe it, me the leader of the thieves guild had had his home in White run emptied of anything of value.

Came as quite a shock to me, I'm heading to Riften right now to dish out some retribution to the ungrateful whelps. Fingers are going to be broken and toe nails removed, as soon ad I get the torture kit from the companion questline... :P

I suspected something was up when I was told several times to rob people who were supposedly allies of the guild and had the "protected" thief mark. I guess there's no honor among thieves.

Those nameless 'Thieves' are a pain in the caboose! The first time I saw one, he was trying to pick the lock on Balimund's smithy in Riften. Seeing as my character considers Balimund a friend of sorts, I tried to engage the thief in a conversation to tell him to keep his paws off my buddy's stuff. No such option. The logical next step was to give him a warning blow, but of course that made the thief hostile towards me and I was forced to kill him. Thinking I had nothing else to worry about, I headed over to Madesi's stall to get rid of some of the gems I'd picked up on my travels. Not even a minute later, another thief was at Balimund's door. Hack, slash - two dead thieves. A few minutes later, another one moseyed on up. Annoyed at this point, I Fus Ro Dah'd him into the canol. But they just didn't stop coming. By the time I left Riften, I'd killed five freakin' thieves. Riften's marketplace is now littered with identical dead bodies. =___=

I suppose it's similar to the Dark Brotherhood sending an endless supply of assassins after the Dragonborn. The thieves guild sends countless thieves after the same mark. When one fails, just keep sending more.

When thieves break into your house, do they actually take anything? I'd be pissed if my valued items went missing when I was away.

For some reason the Thieves always enter The Scorched Hammer, now 5 thieves are sitting in The Scorched Hammer.

Too busy eating stale bread and mumbling to herself about being swoooooorn to carry your burdens.

(Although in my game, since the USKP finally gets her butt outta that chair, she's gone from eating stale bread and watching my character sleep to standing at the top of the stairs like a perpetual creeper. Except that one time I came downstairs and she and Erik were having some sort of glowering contest.

...There's a reason I don't visit Breezehome much. )

Is this a joke? Other than seeing a few thieves running around Riften, who always end up getting killed by the guards, I've never seen a thief in 540+ hours of playing (PC).

Not even those thieves that hang around the sides of roads and demand you cough up some money if you get too close?

Just do what i do and put them in his Fire Salt fire.. It looks rather funny when you have like 5 thieves in a pile with no clothes.

Yeah I've seen those, but they are not inside the city robbing places. When do they start doing this? Is it only after you've fully restored the TG?

Lydia was with me; since I had no idea that it was possible for someone to rob me I took her with me.

Was kinda annoying especially as I had 35 lvls of loot tucked away. But then I chuckled and thought that was such a nice touch by Beth.

Must hare been a team of em though had so much stuff.

For the guy that asked I play on PS3

Oh and no joke (unless the game glitched) came home to find everything emptied even the weapons racks. Only thing the left were my books. Guy must have been a nord, hear there not that keen on literature.

I stole some lavender from Danica Pure-Spring by accident once and didn't get caught but she sent some thugs to teach me what happens to thieves. I was so mad I wanted to go burn her temple down. They tried to kill me, crazy fools.

Still seems like a glitch. As cool as that would be I never read anything about player houses being robbed before.

I don't wanna be robbed - i've got 40 levels worth of dragon bones tucked away in my house at markarth, if what you said is true i might just leave off completing the thieves guild quest line.

Neither, I got 1000+ hours plugged in and never seen or heard of this unless it was a glitch or a mod, I remember there was a mod for Oblivion that did this and allowed you to set the difficulty of you door lock but I have yet ( until now ) heard of this in Skyrim.

That being said I only ever heard of two dragon`s attacking at the same time until today, was in Winterhold and there was one dragon circling the collage and one circling the town.
