My Nord is gay!

Don't take this as an attack. I find it quite funny. But yes, I just completed the Mara quest line and I'm wearing the Amulet of Mara. But, the women that you are supposed to be able to marry are not giving me the option to marry. But I've had two, yes, not one but two males comment on the amulet and I had the dialogue option for marriage with them. One is Mercurrio (SP?) a companion mage trainee who you can pay to follow you around and the other is a High Elf/Dunmer (hard to tell them apart since the look the same) is in Maven Black-Briars' Meadery in Riften.

Am I missing something?

Are you sure you're asking the right women? And have you completed any quests they give?

You need to befriend (ie. help) potential love intrests in some way, usually a radiant quest or finish their story arc if they're a more important NPC.

You usually have to do something for them before they are interested, you probably did a quest for those two guys and that's why they are offering marriage.

Well, I did do the quest for the chick in Whiterun who was trying to setup a shop; Ysolda and I thought you could marry her? Maybe I haven't done any other quests for anyone else. I'm about to play now so I can look to see if some of them have quests I can do.

I've married Ysolda, once you've done the quest where you get her a mammoth's tusk you should be set.

High Elf/Dunmer (hard to tell them apart since the look the same)
I'd be far more concerned about your inability to distinguish an Altmer from a Dunmer. Or did you mean Altmer and Bosmer?

No, silly, that simply means the other two who commented on your amulet are gay! Not that there's anything wrong with that. D'jinn fancies the ladies, herself.

LOL I've been "hit on" by no less than 8 guys throughout skyrim and two women. But both the women were old crone's. Two of the guys were hired mercenary followers. The one I sacrificed at the Botheian (sp?) Because everytime I opened dialogue with hill he'd comment on the amulet. Of course I could've taken the amulet off but oh well.

I still think I'm going to console the Karita chick from Dawnstar to be my wife.

So you killed a guy for asking commenting on how your looking to marry, when you choose to wear a symbol of looking to get hitched and spoke to him? Yeah it's entirely his fault, serves him right to die for being that way and not yours at all for having a neon sign of I'm interested over your head...

The Dovahkiin is by nature bisixual, not gay. His or her dragon soul can't distinguish between the sixual dimorphism of the mortal races and thus finds anybody fair game. Sadly, any coupling with a true kindred spirit would likely result in being crushed to death, making the Dovahkiin a tragic character.

I never would've guessed that about him . . . a good warrior as well as cook.
