Is it just me or is there no mention to correcting companion leveling in the patch notes?

Lydia, whom I met at level 5-8ish is getting almost one shotted now at level 20, even with upgraded gear. Basically have to take her out of the rotation.

There is a workaround for this, in case you were unaware. Dismiss her, wait for it to say "Your follower has left her service", open up the console, click on her, type "disable", hit return, type "enable", hit return, close the console, and ask her to join you. Her stats will update to your level. This works on all followers so far as I know (I've been doing it with mine every few levels).

Thanks.. Yea, I read about this. I just thought that Bethesda would have quickly patched it in the 1.4 release as it is glaringly obvious..

Quick question, do I need to strip them of all their gear (will they lose their gear) when I disable them?
