Not appearing under Tools? : V

Sooooo....no kit under tools? And approximately 300 steam restarts later still no CK under tools? Guess I never posted about why I **!@#*! hate steam (Oh boy I get to download my games at super slow speeds anywhere yay! Oh wait steam is crashing well guess no gameplay for me! Take that along with the fact that steams patches are always slower than non steam games release time wise) anybody know what the problem is? Sorry if I seem 'Impatient' but I lost my patience for this garbage malware a long time ago.

Restart steam. When it comes back up, "Creation Kit" will be in the list

Game and kit both require steam....

Unless there is some form of external download I'm not aware of for the kit.

I have reset and am continuing to exit and reload steam to no avail.

Not true. I've restarted about 20 times and "Creation Kit" isn't on the list.

Well, if you really hate Steam that much, then don't use it. No there's no legal way to get Skyrim or the CK to work without Steam, but hey, it's one of the sacrifices you make by deciding that Steam is the devil. Either use it, or don't. Whining about how much you hate this "garbage malware" will do nothing to change it.

EDIT: Have you tried restarting Steam?? J/k try logging into offline mode, and logging back to online mode.

I know complaining about it won't fix it but it does make me feel better (As would smacking steams creators with a rather large trout but unfortunately I have not yet had that opportunity) I have not tried switching between online and offline but will do so now.

You are looking for ONLY the words "Creation Kit", right. I'm asking because I almost missed it because I was looking for "Skyrim Creation Kit" and then "Elder Scrolls Creation Kit". I figured they would have given it a more game-specific name. But it is just "Creation Kit"

I've browsed the entire list, searched for "Kit", "Creation", "Skyrim", "Creation Kit", "CreationKit" and even "Bethesda" over and over again

Do you have automatic updates turned off for steam? I'm not sure if that would affect the tools list updating or not.

Nein, Updates are enabled for all games and I even manually checked steam for updates "Steam > Check for updates" to no avail.

I'm in the same boat here, even restarted my computer and no tools or creation kit. I'm in the process of re-installing skyrim to see if that does the trick.

Steam > View > Tools Where I find tons of dedicated servers and other such tools including the Unreal Development Kit but absolutely no Creation Kit.

Same thing happened to me, then it just suddenly appeared in the Tools list while I was on the game library screen (I noticed the tools number on the dropdown had gone from 50 to 51). I'd just started installing the new texture pack DLC, maybe that's related?

It was bringing too much happiness (People were slipping into cardiac arrest from the excitement of having it) and so it was pulled right?

Ok. Just making sure.. I'm not at home, so I can't really TS any further than this, but I know I find things in the tools list (should be 41 tools without the CK) under library. Click on all games and the dropdown list will tell you how many tools are available.

Found it, for me it was just in the wrong section I was looking. Though it likes to take a while to download, must be the sheer number of people downloading it from their servers at the moment.
