Not being able to go back to Skuldafn really irks me.

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 2:43 am

I missed the Dragon Priest mask, thus, cannot get all 8 masks. I know others have this problem of missing the mask and/or the Dragon Shout.

(If you're asking how I missed the mask - its pretty simple. I was overwhelmed by the priest, the dragons, and the other enemies, so I just ran through the portal before he could close it. Didn't kill any of them, just ran.)

Any word on whether or not this will be added in DLC or patched?

The only thing I can suggest is that you go through it again with a saved game that starts before it.

Its funny you mention that, I happened to delete all my 200+ saves (minus my latest 3 or so) just yesterday to clear up room because my game kept freezing. I sound ok with it, but trust me, I'm pissed.

Yep, it svcks. I hate missable items in game, such an unfair thing to have for completionists.

Beth people... I know you see this, and all the other topics on it... please just make it so I can go back. It would be a nice Christmas present.

Are you on PC? If so, use the console to give yourself the mask.

IIRC, the Priest you encounter there is Nahkriin.

Open the console, and type "player.additem 00061ca5 1". You just gave yourself one copy of his mask.

I actually just registered on here to complain about this exact same thing. I bought the game and strategy guide, spent about $100 bucks on this thing and the time invested is unimaginable. Like the original poster I jumped through to the portal avoiding the dragon priest as well not thinking about a mask because I hadn't heard of the mask originally. Well, I went through and spent hours getting ALL the masks up until the 8th one on my list, this specific mask is located in skuldafn. I am PISSED I can't go back and get the mask I need to complete this objective. I finally said screw it, I am done. I am finished with this game until they patch this so we have the option to return to skuldafn, if they don't patch it then meh, I will chalk it up as time lost and about a $100 bucks. At least it won't get anymore of my time nor money from me. I'm that upset over it all. I know it seems petty, but dang it I put a lot of time and effort into getting all those dang masks and to discover I can't get this mask because I completed the mission is unacceptable.

i have to periodically delete saves because their eating space in my tiny 90 gig ssd. hdd prices are too high so im in survival mode when it comes to drive space.

you could just use the console to return or use it to get the mask directly.

I wonder how people can miss the word wall since it's literally right on the path you need to enter the portal. The only way to miss it is if you intentionally avoided it or just rushed through it. As for the priest, he was literally the opponent in front of the portal. The only way to miss him is if you run straight into the portal as you need the staff he drops to reopen the portal if he closes it so you had to just jump into the portal as there is no way you could miss the mask if he closed it.

I think that's what these folks are saying - they didn't miss these things, they just ran through in order to avoid the fight, then have discovered they can't go back through. That's what's irking them - they can't go back.

WTH? How Is supposed Beth can patch users behaviour? You take the easy path so you pay the consecuences.
I'm pissed off by lots of people complaining that their actions didn't affected gameplay and you ask for a patch to mend your decissions so they don't care on game. Annoying. I prefer Beth working hard on new bug-free-as-possible DLCs rather to fix the things you don't like.
The best you can do is start a new character and try to get all the quest you've missed. It's so simple. I've done it because my first character was a mage and want to do the Thieves Guild quests which was very complicated with a 40+lvl mage with no sneak capabilities and what I found is a completly different game.

What's the mattuh, someone stole your sweetroll dragon mask?

Just reload dude. That would take you less time and effort than making a whole thread to complain about your wussy character.
