has anyone else found one of these?

i dont remember where i got it from and its not a quest item but everytime i go to drop it it justs floats in the air.

any know if it has a purpose or is just another useless item

I dunno, but I have a drum, a flute and a lute that I've gotten on quests, finished those quests, got the gold for them and/or the achievement or ability upgrades etc... but the NPCs didn't take the gear off me and I can't drop it... "Oh please get this 8 string lute that is a valuable family heirloom!" I get it, get thanked and all the praises and high fives... but she doesn't take it from me ... what gives? I've thought about sneaking up and trying a reverse pickpocket and dumping it off on her...

well thats just the quest being bugged (i also have the flute) but this box isnt a quest item and i can drop it freely just wondering what it is and why it always levitates when i do
