Not enjoying Dead Money and need some help please..

1st off i do love this game, but ive ruined the game by deciding to just go straight to the DLC quests im now stuck on the bit where you try and get into the casino,
if its not the bloody bear traps that kill me its the ghosts or my own stupidity heres the situation..
Just did the bell tower mission and I have 1 bar of health left im in the part of the map where its plagued with bear traps and other traps, im hearing the constant sound of the casino music or billowing horn whatever it is i havnt figured that one out yet! and too top it all off i have no stimpacks no food and not many chips also shoved the difficulty down to very easy,
I was enjoying dead money up to this point now im completely stuck im level 20 something and just want to get out of this dam place now...

On the plus side i just found a machine gun with 3 bullets in it :sadvaultboy:

I think that if you turn off hardcoe Mode then the minor health drain stops, at that point just run for your life.
Or reload a save from earlier, go around and scavenge chips and other supplies and buy enough to get your health up before going to the tower again.

If you do not have an earlier save or the minor health drain continues or you simply can't get past the ghost people then I guess you're screwed.
Action and consequence mate.
Should've scavenged more chips and bought healing items with them.
They're literally everywhere.

Well, if you have the patience for it then you could start the event then try to quickly sneak around the area and look for containers that might contain healing items and slowly build back your health.
After which you run for your life to the casino gate.

When I played DM, after I got Dean, Dog, and Christina to the fountain I used Dog as a companion to help me clear the rest of the map of the Ghosts(they don't respawn until the event is triggered.) Which made things a lot easier especially for collecting the SM chips, and vending machine passcodes, finding items, and dealing with speakers. When I got to the tower and triggered the event, I looked out the window that oversees the courtyard, and started lobbing frag grenades down there. Cleared out most of the ghosts that are in the courtyard waiting for you, then I ran back to the Fountain/Casino gate, only stopping to kill the ghosts who were truly hindering my run to the gate.

Sounds to me like you might have screwed yourself, by starting the DLC right off the bat. By not doing the main story and leveling up to a decent level, you've put yourself at a disadvantage. Certain skills come in handy in this DLC.

Alternatively, sinks and even toilets can be your friend in times like these. Hey, it's a matter of survival, you do what you have to do in order to survive.
