Not getting "Rested", or Lover's Comfort

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 2:56 pm

I don't appear to be getting either of these when I sleep. No, I am not a werewolf (cured!)... nor a vampire (not sure if that impacts it or not anyway!). Just - sleep, wake up. No benefit.

Think it is a listed bug with being a cured werewolf.

If you have a save around the time your cured yourself, you can try doing it again and seeing if you start getting the bonuses.

Somtimes it won't notify you that you got it, but if you check the active effect list, it shows up there. It can also conflict with effects from Lover Stone.

I have never seen "the lover's comfort" on my married characters. I just always get the "well rested" even if I sleep at the same time my spouse is sleeping. So, what exact conditions trigger the "lover's comfort" rest?

You may want to try moving your spouse to their home, not one of yours, wait a game day, then move them back to your house. I had the exact same thing across multiple characters (always got well rested, no matter which of my houses we lived in). Read this suggestion on the forums and tried it last night, and now I get Lover's comfort with Ysolda in Breezehome.

This also worked for my redguard and Senna... Although, he lost the dialog option for the home cooked meal in the process. A minor trade off imo..

I played as a cured werewolf in my first game and oddly, could get well rested in a tavern bet, but not in any of my homes. As for lover's comfort, my character married Argis (Markath housecarl) and the guy would just not go to bed, ever. He was liked the damned Terminator, standing watch while my character slept (except the Terminator didn't eat quite so much bread).
