Notes for a future NV mod....

Planned features for FO3A

1. Out of combat auto-regen ( Basic feature from FO3A )
When not in combat and hp is not full you will begin to regenerate HP. The rate of HP regeneration starts off slow then slowly becomes more potent if the effect is not interrupted. As this effect occurs your hunger will slowly increase. Its possible that thirst and sleep can also increase during out of combat Auto-Regen. It is possible that the potency of out of combat auto-regen can be influenced by your status much like in FO3A. This time all systems for FO3A will be fully modular.

During normal play hunger will increase at a slower rate over time than before. ( If thirst and sleep are also reduced it is possible that I can easily tie this mod into a longer timescale module )
Optional module to remove heal over time effects from food and drinks.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments?

After first time through game for me I will look into this....

2. Dynamic difficulty / Dynamic encounters ( This was discussed but put on the back burner until New Vegas )
A dynamic difficulty system where your performance is recorded and you gain survival rating depending on how well you can play the game. The easier a time you are having the harder the game will become increasing your survival rating. Likewise the game will go easier on you if you appear to be struggling.

A good dynamic difficulty system should keep you on the edge of your seat regardless of personal skill. You can play the game for that nearly perfect experience where each step is just as challenging as the last or you can min max to maintain the highest possible survival rating as you can to compare with your friends.

Looking into adding a system where it you can only carry so many weapons.
In FO3A how I did this was I increased the weight of all guns. This worked very well but it also made it so FO3A was not mod friendly because I had to touch every weapon in the game just so I could increase weight.

The new system I am looking at will be modular. It will simply run a check to see how many weapons you have in your backpack and depending on how many you have will add a status penalty. This will accomplish the same effect as before. The rules will be as simple as possible.

2 Melee weapons
2 Side arms
2 Rifles
2 Heavy weapons

Not sure about explosives yet and the idea is in very early brain storming stages so far....
