Novac. *face palm* I can't believe why it's named liked that

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 4:02 am

I noticed it during the night when the sign was lit.
The city names have been pretty good in FNV. Only thing I was disapointed about was the strip, but licensing would obviously be out of reach.
Hey, maybe I'll model the stratosphere?

Noticed it upon arriving in town.

Didnt put a smile on my face or made me think otherwise about it.

I just thought it was something to be expected in a game like this.

Yep, No Vacancy knew that before the game and I saw it my first time there.

Well aren't you a turd in a punchbowl. xD

As for me, I saw it in a screenshot before the game came out... what was MORE fun was seeing my brothers reaction.

I loved the reasoning for the town being called Novac. It's touches like that that I love about Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

I saw it on my first quest out of that town. Just as I passed out, and turned to look back at Victor, I saw the "No Vacancy," and it just made me smile all the way to REPCONN.

Reminded me of a few FO3 locations, The Pitt being one of them, where they just used lettering on an existing sign and marked part of it out or removed parts in order to change the name. Neat idea.

I remember visiting that dinosaurs gift shop in the early 90s once a month on the way out to our vacation home. In reality, their was a brontosaurus(sp?) that had the gift shop, and the T rex was just a Trex and you couldn't enter it.

Theirs also a water-theme-park a few miles out near it too, wish they included that in the game.
