Now I realize there is something wrong about the trailer

Isn't it useless against dragon? Why not use Joor Zah Frul?

Because Fus Ro Dah is the only shout a player is guaranteed to get, and it's considered the signature shout, just like the iron helmet.

Joor Zah Frul also is guaranteed to get. Although I agree that Fus Ro Dah is signature shout now, but back then can Bethesda predicted it will be signature shout?

Hmm...or perhaps players like it after watching the trailer?

yeah, isn't useless, knocks em back a little bit, staggers em, and most importantly, cuts off their breath attack for a little bit. Not the most useful shout but it is effective.

Could they predict that a physics (oh the punters love that word) Force Push type effect, for the first time in unmodded TES, that enables blasting people around and off huge heights would be popular? They probably had an idea :)

(some evidence would be the extents to which people enjoyed giving the Adoring Fan flying lessons)
