NPC flying horse thing of the past?

Last night I downloaded and installed "Convenient Horses (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14950)" and tried it out after giving up horses, at least when I am with a follower, due to the fact that in my game, followers and their horses would always end up flying up into the sky at certain parts in the map. However, after using this mod, I did not have that problem. This is the first time I've used followers on horses since 1.6 and I am wondering if anyone else who has experienced NPC flying horse problems have noticed the issue resolved? I mean, I tend to believe the problem would of been fixed via 1.6 and not the mod, but I guess anything is possible.

Yesterday I saw a mammoth go flying around a bit in the volcanic tundra region. It didn't go all the way up in the sky, but it was flying around in circles before landing on the ground. Surprising that it didn't die. Don't know much about followers and their horses flying up in the sky, though. If it hasn't been fixed by an official patch, then they should probably do so in a future patch, since it sounds rather annoying.

We also really need horse armor in DLC or a patch, too. Seriously, horses just die too easily as it is, and it's annoying to have to go to the nearest city stable (even though you can just fast travel there) to shell out another 1000 gold (which I may not always have depending on what I've been up to in-game) for another so that it isn't such a chore to travel. I also find it a LOT easier to fight ice wraiths using mounted combat for some reason. It could be because it seems a little easier to evade their more damaging ice attacks due to increased speed and visibility of where the ice wraiths are. Though I have a hunch that they are NEVER doing horse armor again because of that certain DLC for Oblivion. :swear:

Surely it wasn't the mod that fixed it... Maybe it's the fact that this mod, the AI seems to do better with making sure the follower doesn't lag too far behind. Don't really know.
