So ive almost got all the major issues worked out of my first mod (exciting ).

I have an npc that is supposed to sell a key. I have added the key (+ a few misc items) to the vendors sell list and the other items show up when talking to him, the key does not. Also the vendor stands in a battle stance with his hands ready to punch someone (lol) any ideas how to fix these issues? (i have gone over all the npc tutorials I have come accross and have remade him a few times to no avail with the two issues listed)
