I posted late last week, in the Navmesh Topc that Objects did not always seem to load in game. Rather than continue to take that thread off-topic, I thought I would start another topic, to dedicate to this issue ...


I can now successfully replicate - every time - my NPC not loading ... But for the life of me I do not understand why?

• The NPC (base actor) is placed - via the CK - in a Wilderness Cell, just outside Windhelm ... Wilderness (32,5) for those interested, not that I can believe it matters to this issue.
  
• I have a Quest that is Start-Game-Enabled (it runs just fine) - It checks as running with ConsoleCommands
  
• In that Quest the NPC is assigned to an Alias
  
• The Quest has "Warn on aliases fill failure" checked

What Happens

• I start Skyrim Application (Game)
  
• I

  coc WindHelmAttackStart05

• The NPC is NOT present in the cell in which it is placed
  
• I get NO Warning Messages in game to say Aliases are unfilled in the Quest
  
• I get NO logfile entries - at all - related to my stuff (quests or NPCs or anything else)

If I quit to desktop and restart the application, exactly the same thing happens, every time.

Now then ...

(Instead of Quitting To Desktop) If I Quit to Main Menu and

coc WindHelmAttackStart05

the NPC is present in the cell, where it should be.


Can anyone explain what might be going on?! ... Including recommending a shrink if I am going out of my mind


(is there an issue with coc?!)
