Will New Vegas have the same issue with stuck NPCs that Oblivion did? on Bethesda's PC game Oblivion users had the ability to type a command into the game to reset NPCs that have become permanently stuck causing quests or game progress to be broken. I have never had issues with any other Bethesda game, however, New Vegas, seems like it may have the potential to cause the same quest lockout issues. I posed the question several years ago to the support team when the issue presented itself within Oblivion on the 360, to no avail. In that game there is a house you can buy in a town but if you do not buy it immediately, the NPC will become stuck in the game environment and you can never buy the house. Many other people had the same issue, the only resolution is that a new game had to be started from scratch. To avoid them the game has to be played in a particular way when performing those quests to workaround the issue.
I haven't any bugs in New Vegas, so far but the suggestion came to mind again for something like this to be implemented in console games as a part of DLC so that the issue is prevented. An option that would cause all NPC characters to reset to their default routines so the game can be played normally
