NPC's say Primm sold out to NCR, not true

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:53 am

So I've just taken notice to how some NPC's around primm and Novac say that Primm sold out to NCR for protection.. Which is not true, I got the dude from the NCRCF to be the sheriff, the NPC's at Primm, when I press E to talk to them, also say that he is the sheriff, but when hearing them talk out of convo, they mention Primm selling out..

So .. What's going on here? -.- Does it mean that at the end of the game, the game will register that it's under NCR controll when it's not or.. Does the NPC's just say it to annoy me?

I'm really a tight ass about things like this XD In RPG's I like to immerse myself, and this is really ruining it, along with many other bugs I've encountered (Which i've made seperate threads about, ED-E, Chris bug with come fly with me etc)

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Yea i have the same problem, after hearing the NCR commander saying they were going to be taxed and stuff, i decided to get the Sheriff in the prison. Im like 16-20 hours ahead of all that now and every NPC i come accross when they randomly say things, they always say did you hear primm accepted NCR rule... Blah blah... That isnt true but whatever....

The radio however with MR. New Vegas he has a random interview with the Sherriff and he says something like Howdy Folks, im the new sheriff so be good or I'll shoot you dead.. So the game is conflicting itself when it comes to primm lol

Anyway, yeah, god. Please fix this ASAP .. Bethesda or whoever made the game, lol, I lose track.

I want to play this game so bad, but it gets harder and harder when I just run into more and more bugs

I got the same thing as well. But as I think about it, the NCR was probably already taken Primm since they have their troops stationed there except the town was occupied by the convicts at the moment the Courier first got there.

Yeah, I got this one too, it's just a little screw up, and the ending WILL reflect the actual choice you made.

I wondered the same thing. You get the sheriff a pardon from the NCR, so maybe by default they are now a part of it. Has anyone done the other method and seen what people say then? I'm not entirely convinced this is a bug just yet, but I could be wrong.
