NPCs can no longer be added

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:37 am

Hey there modders!

I got the rather frustrating problem that I cant add NPCs of any kind in many of my cells anymore (well, i can add them in the creation kit, but they wont show in game). The only way to add more is when theyre being triggered by traps, which isnt a real solution. No matter if its a custom NPC, lchar, lvl or enc character.

I checked all references and nothing has changed- adding them should work as normal.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Cheers

F5 will reload the cell with everything in it. Also check the View tab for things that are unviewable

I guess you misunderstood me.

I meant that they cant be seen in game. Like you would put a bandit in the unownedcell, go ingame, COC there and no bandit there.

Sometime it happened also to me.
I noted that it happen when i change something to the NPC data (script attached, package data, etc etc).
In this case the solution for me it's been make another change to the previously modified object, and then the NPC appear in game.

I get this a lot. Sometimes they're there, sometimes not. They have a simple default sandbox package with no scripts, so I don't understand it.
