So, what I've gathered is that people have heard some more Dark Brotherhood NPC discussions than the beginning one with Babette as the center of attention. Also, at the point when The Eye of Magnus was in the College of Winterhold, when I once entered The Hall of Elements, Drevis Neloren was giving a lecture about it! About every college member was gathered around him, listening to him, much like the apprentices were in the scripted Tolfdir's lecture at the beginning of the College questline. What of these type of (seemingly) random NPC discussions have you heard, and do you know what caused them if not pure luck?

My Altmeri Arch-Mage character would be particularly interested in if there are even more of these possible mages' lectures in the College. I've heard Tolfdir speaking about magic and wards, as we all have, but also heard the ending of this surprising Drevis Neloren's lecture about the Eye that I never heard with my first (accidental) Arch-Mage character.

I attended a complete lecture about why Restoration is a perfectly valid school of Magic, and I have walked in at the end of others returning from random quests in the Mages College.

ive walked into a few random conversations I never expected. cant recall them at the moment though. They're nice suprises though, considering you expect the same scripted stuff you commonly hear, and then out of nowhere one day, you spend 5 minutes listening to a conversation you never knew existed in the game lol.

I have seen Babette ones. Ones were they compare kills in DB.

I hope I can still see these even though I've finished the questline a long ago. Haven't seen these ever since.


Ah. Since I saw this the first time I ever entered the Falkreath Sanctuary, I thought it was supposed to happen then. Still not sure though. Anyway, I've got to play more in hopes of these. About the College, now we know there's at least Drevis' lecture about the Eye, and a Restoration lecture. I think there might be at least one lecture per Wizard. Someone of capable sort should also check the dialogue lines for all the mages to see what is there.

Something that Ralof said surprised me. It was just before going to free Fort Neugrad as a Stormcloak soldier; I'd just had a conversation with Ralof and just after our small chat, I heard him saying "I had heard that you were dead.". I have no idea where it came from.

Ive heard the speech about restoration, but also one about alteration.

Sometimes you get unique dialogue entering people's homes. Like Maven Blackbriar lectures her daughter while sitting at the dinner-table in their house.

Have you heard the conversation between Ahlam and Danica in the temple in Whiterun? As Belethor would say "Interesting, to say the least..."

Thanks! Apparently it was that Drevis' lecture I saw, not something about The Eye. I remembered wrong. I guess I'll be at the Hall of the Elements at 2 pm more often now!

There are many interesting dialogues. I just realized, nearing the end of the MQ the second time, that one can affect on which side will take control of which city. As a result, that Silver-Blood Patriarch guy became the Jarl of Markarth, and he had much to say with his steward. Will be checking Riften to see if their new Jarl, Maven, will have something new to say as well. And I guess there are other possible outcomes of the truce meeting, other possible new Jarls to cities...
