Objects not displaying in large scenes

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:04 pm

I've been looking into the new GECK, and I've been opening up some of the familiar locations from my first playthrough.

While most of them load in the geck without incident, I've noticed that larger or more complicated interior environments do not display all of their models correctly.

While the npcs are placed correctly and visible, many other objects refuse to display. They are visible in the Cell view, and can be selected edited, but they do not display in the render window.

While the second level of the Hidden Valley is the most obvious example (the large circular structures appear cut in half), I have seen it in the Gomorrah Casino as well.

Has anyone else seen this error?

@JackTheQuick
Please use the search function on this forum. The same question was answered several times now. The Roomboundmarkers & Portalmarkers are the troublemakers.

Ah, I see.

The issue has been mentioned several times, but as the search function only looks for specific words, if you don't use the correct words, you miss the thread covering this issue in detail.

Really irritating that you have to reload the whole geck to get the bloody things out of the way.

On the other hand... Portal markers. Excellent!

Once there moved all you need to do is hit the F5 key and, the render window will regenerate the missing tiles, objects. At least it worked for me.
