Oblivion: Skyrimified

Not sure I think they have different engines but an updated version of oblivion would be the greatest thing. Anybody else think so? I would gladly pay a full 60 for that again

Not sure, they seem like pretty different games to me. I really like Skyrim but I was not impressed with Oblivion at all. Know a few Oblivion fans who were not impressed with Skyrim. Not sure if a Skyriminizer would be a good thing for Oblivion.

Graphics, movement, unfrozen dialogue, just general upgrades and cosmetics. Oblivion keeping its level up system, armor repair, the things that made oblivion oblivion. I bet any die hard TES fan would like it, or I hope. Goes for any TES game but those are def different

Eh, if they made a remake I'd rather it be one of the games before Oblivion. But what I'd really like is for Bethesda to not spend any money on anything other than TES VI. And I don't want them to rush it either, go ahead and take the full 5-6 years.

Thinking of TES VI on a next gen console makes my mouth water

You can buy my version of Oblivion. Worst TES game ever made. I highly doubt I'll ever play it again.

I've played TES games for years and if there is one thing I don't want to see again it's Oblivion....

Give it some time, eventually a group of ambitious modders will try. Didn't they do that with Morrowind on Oblivion's engine?

No thank you, Oblivion's graphics are fine. Daggerfall's graphics are fine. Skyrim expansions first, then Fallout 4 ( yeah, yeah, 10 000 posts saying Obsidian should do it, whatever, I like 3 and New Vegas). The past is the past, the future can yet be improved.

If you mean just a mod then yes, however I play on 360 anyway so I wouldn't be able to use it, if you mean an actual title released by Bethesda then absolutely not.

No. Vanilla morrowind is better. Morroblivion inherits Oblivion's terrible visual design and tries to shove in Morrowind's unique gameplay mechanics in a way that leaves most of them half-functional.

Terrible visual design...yu do realize that MW had far worse graphics... OB had better controls and Living Combat instead of dice rolls. I watched the video comparison. Morroblivion was better

I'd like to see Morrowind get a Skyrim makeover.

Right, before the flames and refusals start flying, WAIT! (or should that be HOLD)

Skyrims dual wield system with the weapons, spellcasting dual wield shenanigans, and general combat system, and graphics. Thats it. Everything else = original Morrowind, from spell selection to questlines, to "Seraaaa..."

Oblivion has horrid-looking NPCs and an ugly all-pervading bloom. It takes the magic out of Vvardenfell's locations. Just because a game is more recent doesn't mean it has better graphics. That said, Morrowind's vanilla NPCs aren't so pretty either, but I can take them seriously, unlike the dunmer that I see in Morroblivion footage. It's like a legolas painted blue and dressed in bonemold.

The combat is better in Oblivion for sure, but to me, it's not worth giving up a far superior RPG experience all-around.

Regarding the original topic, I feel nothing for recreating games in other games because A) The original is still always better suited for its own content and B) the modders could be doing so much more creative stuff with their effort, like http://solstheim4e.blogspot.co.uk/.

Sure the NPCs in OB were very...Colonial and toonish but they looked closer to alive than MWs. We moved way past dice rolls a long time ago in any good RPG. Cyrodiil is not the magical Elf land that MW is and so therefore is not supposed to be an Acid Trip. The game is refined and had the best TES dlc ever made (SI)

I played Oblivion for five years... if another Elder Scrolls gets released, I want it to be new.

Would rather see Morrowind re-done than Oblivion. Oblivion's graphics are still a high level compared to other games. If what majority of people say on these boards is true, that Morrowind has the best content, I would like a graphical update to encourage me to actually try it.

Only if it got OB or Sky's combat system instead of Dice Rolls. That 1 flaw is why i HATE MW
