I played through FO3 and loved it. I looked forward to this game but was put off after hearing about the bugs.

Finally I bought this game last week. Nothing but freezes and laggy play whenever it doesn't freeze. I have exchanged this 3 times at the store in a desperate attempt to get it to work.

I have tried everything: deleted files, clear cache, blah blah... nothing works. And yes, my xbox is fine - all other games work flawlessly and I have never had a problem with any game before (FO3 only gave me maybe one freeze in >100hrs of playing)

Obsidian: why oh why did you release this crap without testing? You should be ashamed of what you did here.

Join the club. And try this, because it has completely solved these problems for a lot of people...start a new character. Turn ALL autosave options OFF. Whenever you do a manual save (so, every time you save) do NOT overwrite your previous one. Create a new save, and either delete the old one, or keep it in case something goes wrong with the new one. Whenever you load a previous save, quit to the main menu (not all the way to the dashboard, but the FO: NV main menu) and load from there. When loading from the main menu, do not use the "Continue" option; use the "Load" option, and select the save you wish to load. Following these steps can prevent the script issues and help with the memory leaks that cause New Vegas to freeze, lag, and crash. I haven't found it necessary to try these steps myself; just figured I'd pass along the info.

Sorry to see that you are so frustrated, but I would recommend that you check the approrpriate hardware/software forums and outline any details about your issue. Or even take the advice from the poster above.
