I have freed odahviing and he told me that once he had flown me i wouldnt be able to go back. So i thought i would get some potions before embarking on the quest. Problem is when i returned he was gone. I have tried shouting but he doesnt turn up. I have tried shouting outside and in the dragonsreach. Nothing. What to do?

I have lost odahviing in the same way as well wondering if there is any solkiution for this

Wow. Well, if nothing else take comfort in the fact that I won't dismiss him after I trap him in my 2nd playthrough so you saved me from this frustration.
