Anyone having any luck calling Odahviing during dragon battles? He will just fly around and hardly attack whenever I do it. Anyone else experience this?

I called him in once to fight a giant and he didn't do much besides the occasionional fly by with fire

He does everything a dragon usualy does when I call him. When I call him he usually takes about 20 seconds to actually come to battle, breathes fire on the enemies, usually lands and bites etc within a minute of the battle. I only used him once and let him kill everything so I can see what he does, I normally kill every enemy within 15 seconds so dont see the point but will use him if I get 2 dragons so he distracts one

Was very useful for clearing imperials forts for ulfric

Odahviing works exactly like I expected him too.

First time I called in for a dragonfight in Windhelm, Odah and an Ancient Dragon just circled above the tower at the top shouting at each other.

All I had to do was sit back and watch this entertaining event, Odahviing always wins.

I will say that he takes his sweet time to show up on occasion though.

He has to fly to your location from the Throat of the World. The further you are, the longer he'll take.

it wouldnt matter if all he did was fly around backwards not spouting fire , not doing any damage. you get to summon a dragon! how cool is that. i just wish the CD wasnt so long.

This could be epic. Might save the Civil War until I've done the MQ this time. Assuming I do the MQ.

I never really got to use Odahviing much, decided to use him once before deleting my char that beat the MQ. I was getting the Trophy to get 1000 Bounty all over the land. But since I have the PS3 I am quite limited on what i can do on Skyrim and the way i can do things on Skyrim like Quest. But once the PS3 version is "fixed" to point that is playable the way the game is meant than I might being making a char to do main quest straight up than getting the missing Trophies I cant get right now due to the problems.

I use Odahviing when I fight an annoying dragon [one that won't land] or when I'm attacking an Imperial Camp. Good fun. I've never seen the shout as useless, it helped every time.

as soon as you're out of combat "wait" an hour and it should be ready to use again.

Then that's BS he takes longer cause hes at the ToW. BS.

I was in Whiterun and damn near Riverwood, close enough to the summit. Took him FOREVER to finally arrive. Dragons already randomly attacking Whiterun AND COMPLETELY ignoring the hell outta me. During this time is when 1.2 first released.. and for the LONGEST Dragonrend would not work, at all. I hit him everytime and he just shrugged it off like nothing. NEVER landing.

That's why I eventually called Odah, he's a beast and the only Red Dragon in the game. lml

He's definately more of a help then Call of Valor. That's for sure...
