Okay, what?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:52 am

I'm a Legate in the Legion, I have won the war for the empire, I have killed Ulfric Stormcloak, I have united Skyrim under one banner, I'm Thane in Solitude, I defeated Alduin, I destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, I'm a resident of Solitude and friend of General Tullius but if I try to take some Imperial Armour from Castle Dour it's considered stealing. What? WHAT? Little things like this Bethesda are so frustrating, the game does not recogonise what you have done. The game has no idea that you've achieved these great feats, I just feel like a regular peasant in Skyrim, even guards treat me like crap even though I'm their superior.
Also, the Skyrim wiki says that the Imperial Armour in Castle Dour is free...
I want good Imperial Armour without having to steal it, is that so much to ask?

Only if you accept it from the blacksmith.

The punishment for stealing is death. Anything considered not yours is stealing. The armour you stole did not belong to you. Stop right there, criminal scum!

It says that the armour located inside the castle is free.

There were no spoilers in my post, you had to know you could do all of these things already if you chose to, you had to know that right? I gave no important details away and did not reveal any of the story.

I'm pretty sure you can craft imperial armour.

Why shouldn't it be? If the president (Or leader of your respective country) walked up to you and said 'your house is mine now' would you let him take it just because he's the president? I sure as hell wouldn't. (Though I'm sure there are laws in the US that let the government seize land if needed for legit reasons)

Just because your the demigod hero of life doesn't mean you can take whatever the hell you want...

OP is correct, spoilers aside. Little recognition for your actions is a peeve of mine, especially the other lowly Legionnaires looking down their noses at you, [censored] them too.

No it does not, but if I'm a very very high ranking member of the legion and incredibly well respected in the empire and have no armour, I should be able to grab some. Or at least buy some :S

I think it would certainly make it more likely for someone to be like, of course, have a set of armour! And I do agree about buying it... They certainly could add that.
