OMG the weirdest thing happend to me just now

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 8:40 am

Before i begin i would like to say i just registered so i can share the weirdest thing ever in Skyrim (i guess) and also english isnt my 1st language so bare with me over here :)

So i decided to do some quest and i had this one about "Stony Creek Cave" and i decided to go there and see whats up. As soon as i got there there were some bandits and i killed them. It was a pretty small dungeon but at the end of it there was this gate way that u couldnt get trough cuz it was too high. There was no legit way of going there i didnt wiki it but i searched the whole dungeon 10-15 times (30 mins) and the dungeon is done for like 2 mins or so. in the minimap it said that ive cleared it but this gate way was buging me cuz i wanted to see whats there. So cuz i had alot of experiance with glitchy climbing mountains and other things i decided to try to walk over the wall or something. I managed to get on this rock wich was the same hight as the gate way and i used the Whirlwind Sprint to trust myself into it AND I DID. So after walking 3-4 sec into it lead to another area called Kagranzel (i havent done anything from the main quest since the gray beards thought me the 3 shouts and im lvl 42 so i dont know if this part is from the main quest or something) So as i ventured further in i discoverd a rly big bridge if u looked down there was this giant pool of water if u looked upwards u couldnt see the end of the cave. On the other side of the bridge was a tunnel leading down to the pool. I got down and started exploring uderwater (argonian so i can breathe :P) i was swimming for about 40-50 mins untill i discovered there was nothing down there. BUT just when i was gonna head back up i noticed a crack between some of the rocks. I managed to sweep trough and i discovered something really weird It was the end of the map ... Like the water just stops at a square and there was nothing there like a "void"
(minecraft players would understand) and i swam right off the map and i was falling down for about 10 sec and then i teleported in a weird hallway (with no loading screen). At the end of the hallway there was a Gate (dwarven ruin like one). I went in and there was this big room with a weird orb in the middle. I went for the orb wich was called "Strange Orb" it was yellow glowing i pressed "E" and it some bars raised from the ground like a circular prison. The orb started making wierd alarm noises and glowing even more for like 10 sec and stoped. Then it came back in the middle of the circular prison next to me and vanished. Then the floor flipped and yet again i was falling down for quite a while maybe around 30 sec and i landed right back in the pool .... and thats when my mind exploded..

So my question is WTF? what was that? and why?

Ty for reading i hope i didnt waste ur time

Maybe I will! Can you give me an actual name of the cave if you're being serious about this?

*sigh*

IF something like that actually happened, why is it so amazing? what exactly do you expect to happen when you try to leave the box? there are ways you can glitch the borders and make it past the normal boundaries of the game. again, what exactly do you think should happen if you make it to an area where the game doesn't know what to do?

I had a question though, and I'm not challenging you on but why did you check the dundeon for 30 minutes and swim for 50? It seems a touch absurd to spend so much time on nothing really? Is this ur play style or was this a random instance of over OVER searching

well i dont know i guess the fact that it teleported me in an actual part of the map cuz i may say its logical to just die if u fell of the map and also im curious if this is part of the game or something weird ... i doubt that its something hidden and this is the only way to get to it but u never know...

it's just an area where the game ports you if you make it to an area you aren't supposed to be that's all. again, nothing amazing here. a game this size it's impossible to plug all the holes so something has to happen if you get out of the box.

I was in that cave like the second day after release. But I didn't get there the way you did lol. I used the actual entrance to this dwarven ruin so basically your whole schpele is nothing glitch related. It's just a very unique dungeon, I guess. And possibly a Lord of the Rings reference.
