One character since release date?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:00 pm

Anyone else played the same character, without creating and experimenting with another character, since release date?

I've been loyal to my Orc the whole time, but after 200 hours (almost) and level 57 (no level glitching) I feel like maybe I'd like to get a different perspective. Any suggestions?

I have a tendancy to %$@# up my first character due to my naivety in a game.

I usually get it right by my third character. But later on I literally make hundreds of new characters to experience every side of things. A bit disappointing, that.

Yeah, you need to experience other types of gameplay now. Start a new character.

I got my thief/assasin up to level 56 then got a bit tired of one shotting draugr deathlords and bandit chiefs so now im playing a tank based Orc, much more difficult, much more challenging and now im having fun.

Same goes for me. After putting 250+ hours into my level 59 ranger/assassin character that started midnight 11-11-11, I retired him back in March I believe. I then started 2 other characters and about 1 month ago started playing a Dark Elf arcane archer I created, which I will be sticking with for a LONG time. So much fun...

Me, I have also been loyal to my Orc (level 61, though almost 62!) and have amassed about 253 hours with him. He is an archer-two-handed warrior, who is also pretty good at dual wielding and one-handed weapons.

Wow. I can't even comprehend why people would do this. TES games are meant to be replayed with various characters as much as possible :stare:

I've made many characters. Some work out and I stick with them, and some don't. But I'm always searching for different ways to play the game. And not once has one of my characters ever done 100% of everything in the game. They will do 2-3 guilds/factions max.

Don't you mean can there fella?

TES games are meant to be played how you want.

(I also haven't done everything with my character, the DB and Thieves guild quests are not for him.

Good ideas. I'm thinking I might enjoy a stealth/assassin type character.

My only char is a stealth/assassin Dunmer, I am 100+ hours into the game with him and still havent finished the MQ. I plan on creating an imperial or breton battlemage after dawnguard is released, and maybe turn my first char into a vamp lord and finish the MQ with him

I'm only interested in playing one character. I would still be playing my release day character, but the game had a conniption fit, so I had to restart her after 427 hours. I originally played her to level 78, and in my second game I'm now level 81.

I don't think I've ever done the whole (I say whole, you know what I mean) game with one playthrough.

After about an hour of my first character I give up, realising that I had made far too many rookie mistakes, and that I'd like to try out a new style of gameplay. That happens repeatedly, on and on and on. I must be on my twentieth character on Skyrim now, and only two of them are still saved. The rest I've deleted. D: I have a pathological fear of commitment when it comes to video games.

I don't understand how after so many hours someone wouldn't have a maxed 81.. :bonk:

I'm still playing my one and only character. Created him on December 26 and have put 340 hours into him since. I can't relate to people who keep making new characters and starting over.

A change of pace? I'd become bored after 250 hours of hitting people with the same sword.

Basically, yes. I have pretty much had my Breton Shadow Knight since release.

I accidentally wiped my X-Box 360 hard drive, losing all of my X-Box 360 game saves, so I had to start over in Skyrim, but I pretty much just recreated the character with only some minor tweaks.

I have tried to create new characters, that I didn't stick with, that were ultimately the same concept anyways. So I'd say I'm a one character man, yes.

204 Hours. One playthrough. Level 78. And I'm sticking to it.
Mods have a nice way livening up your old character :) .

Bormirri is still going strong since november 11th, and still my prominent character 468 hours last time i checked  still not maxed though

I do find it strange though in oblivion i couldnt stick with one character for long without wishing i was another arch-type, and i've never been good at multi character playing

I accidentally deleted my character after 80 hours, but my second one is still going and I play the same exact style, so its effectively the same.

I dont know if this counts as one character but i had my wood elf assassin..stopped playing for a bit and when i came back, couldnt slip into my armour comfortably (see what i did there?) so i restarted a character following the same principles as my other. Kind of svcks cuz i had 100 smithing/sneak on my other char :(
