I have completed the quest (No One Escapes from Cidhna Mine) i helped the Forsworns to escape and now whenever i enter the city of Markarth the guards would tend to attack me they would occasionally ask me to s submit etc however the only option that would work is the one that ( i rather die than go to jail) and will be chased non stopped... anyways i am playing skyrim on a PS3 Console...


Please advice !! I would really want to complete my other quest in the city asap..

This seems to be a common issue. It's been reported in the general list of quest bugs that people have been using so I'm fairly certain the devs are aware. One workaround is just to sneak into wherever you need to go for whatever you're working on.

I understand but certain quests require me to speak to the jarl & the courtroom wizard etc and whenever i enter the castle everyone (including the jarl) attacks me

Look just stop playing the game. Wait for the patch 1.03 cuz the game is too bugy you will broke your save data.

After 6 MB the people should stop playing, It's too lagy and the framerate svck. I don't know how some players are still playing the game after their savedata is more than 9MB. (IT'S UNPLAYABLE)

Ran into this myself (PS3 player) . Fortunately I had saved just before the escapees confront the authorities. Reloaded, then did not fight anybody, just did a bit of looting of corpses behind the frontlines, thats all. Stay out of the battles, no problems.....

This is also an excellent idea - if you don't personally attack any of the guards on the way out of the city you won't have any problems at all later. Just watch, loot corpses, etc.

LoL i was too engrossed and joined the forsworn in attacking the guards now i am in deep [censored]...

SOME people have had luck getting around this by just fighting the guards for a second and then putting their sword away and taking the option to pay their fine. The success of this might depend on how much damage you actually did to your local bounty in that fight.

become the thane of marketh before the quest then you can just use the speach option of "dont you know who iam?"and they should apoligise to you

you could try the civil war quests dont some of them effect Markarth? The city itself has major issues I did the quest and made it out of the mines, but if I so much as get caught pickpocketing the guards want to send me to the mines for the rest of my days so needless to say I keep a very low profile when in Markarth

The issues i am facing are :
1. Can't pay off guards to get my bounty away.
2. Cant do time ( jail) for my bounty either.
3. Most Npc will attack me in Jarl's court ( i need to speak to some of them to do my quests)
4. guards , anyone in the courtroom will attack me whenever they see me.

This is really bull sh*** lol

you should of thought about that, i kill mardoch in the mine before he even gets a chance to do anything, him and his friends kill all the guards in markarth so if you're helping em it makes sense the town is against you. the quest is buggy but if you go in any town and kill the guards you're gonna have the same problem there. so go back to an old save.

It's simple to get out of this if you're still having problems. Just run up to the nearest guard and attack him but don't kill him. Make sure a new bounty (40 gold usually) is added then sheath your weapon(s) and he will ask you to pay the fine. However, if you went rampage and killed a lot of guards you will have to make sure you have enough gold on you to cover your fine or else jail will be your only option.

The best way to avoid this bug is to reload a save from before the final fight.
Reload, and stay out of the final fight. Do not draw your weapon.
