One handed is being drained somehow

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:42 am

For some reason my one handed is showing as 15 even though I have levelled it to around 18. It is red so I assume that means something I have picked up is affecting its level. I checked the effects tab and their was no mention of it and I have checked through my items and clothing and can't find anything that has that effect.

I am only level 5 and fairly early in the game so I haven't done that much yet, mostly dark brotherhood quests and the first couple of quests from the main line.

Any thoughts? I am very new at skyrim though I have played oblivion a lot. Am I missing something?

Use a cure disease potion, it's prolly Rockjoint. Look for ailments in the active effects tab, to see what exactly is causing it.

Edit: Named the wrong disease.

go to a shrine and pray(like the shrine of talos or kynareth[?] in whiterun)

should solve it.

It's most likely a disease; Rockjoint has that effect. It may just be a glitch if it's not showing up on your active effects list. Go hit a shrine, see if that clears it up.

If it does not work what aggythefox (and the others) said I can say I had an similar problem. It seems to be that it was a bug. I was in a fight and I noticed that there was the same problem you have. I was searching for a solution, was thinking about being venomed and so on. I used all options, drinking potions, go to a priest and so on. Nothing worked, I was nearly far enough to reload and do all the stuff again.Than I had another fight (and it was really hard and costs several potions) and I came to level up. And after that the problem was gone.
It might have been a bug. Or I found not the right way to solve my problem first. If you can not find a solution force to level up and see if it will be solved after levelling.
