Go sword and shield.
2handed weapons get boring fast. I had a 2 handed, heavy armour female orc.
After a point her armour got annoyingly heavy and combat was just boring.

Anything with onehanded weapons is good. Weapon and magic is good. Duelwielding is good, but you end up hitting with one weapon more than the other.

You should know, if you hav'nt tried it, heavy armour get's annoying after a point. They sound like they're dying when they run, stamina runs out fast, and carrying it is a pain.
And some of it on females looks beyond stupid. The boob plates, blah.

Light armour is far better.

I`ve had a successful female orc before using two handed sword and block ( right side of skill tree only ).Bashing your opponent first with the sword gives you time to set up a heavy blow

i too always end up with a one handed and shield combo my self, but i cant really see how running into a crowd with a giant warhammer can be boring either.

Personally I prefer two-handed hammers and two-handed weapons in general.

I prefer 2 handed, as less swings will end an enemy quickly. And I just prefer the animations and fun factor over a 1 handed/Shield attack style.

You have to get the heavy armor perk that makes your armor practically weightless to cure that.

I go in a blaze of fury, cutting down everything in my path with my two swords.

I use two handed weapons with light armor, and still kick bass!

For an Orc in heavy armor?

Sorry, but there simply is no choice. Two handed, with either hammer or axe.
