Hi all,
I've been looking at the one-handed weapons perks and i'm just not sure what would deal the most damage with the perks, Axe, Maces or Swords, if anyone has tried all 3 with the perks in each, or anyone who can give an opinion i would be greatful, thanks.

Swords are the fastest, then Axes, then Maces.
Maces are the strongest, then axes, then swords.

Really it all depends on how long your battles last and how much health an enemy has. I personally prefer swords because they are the fastest (aside from daggers) and the perk for them is second only to the mace's perk that ignores armor (the sword being faster is what makes me choose sword, as I hate how slow maces are)

Axes are the least useful, as battles rarely last long enough for the bleed effect to matter. Maces, like I said, ignore armor, which is good for master difficulty. Swords are fast and the perk increases their critical hit damage

All the perks are worthless, swords do the most damage if their damage is at least 11 IIRC due to the speed.

The sword perks add critical damage chance, only does half the base damage, which is nothing. It's about 8 on a daedric sword, so it's not worth wasting a perk.

The axe bleeding effect is pitiful, you will kill the enemy before the bleeding effect does decent damage. Not worth it.

The mace perk is crap due to enemies not having decent armour rating, dragons have none. Enemies have huge amounts of health rather than armor, so the perk is worthless.

Invest your perks somewhere else, go for swords if you want damage.
