One of the most svckiest time you forgot to save?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:17 am

So I walk around, slayed 2 dragons and some other stuff,
explored 5 new areas walk around a lil more and this is how I die,
I LOVE climbing mountains yes as silly as it sounds and then yes I fall off at the top because I grabbed something to drink. And yes I forgot to save

.......................................................................................

Well this is only one of them ofcourse, but I know friends of mine had some forgot to save fails too so I'm curious to find out some more )

Had gone through two dwemer ruins, done the last quest at the college of winterhold, and discovered a ruin with a flawless ruby ( which I needed to finish a quest ). Girlfriend said it was dinner (it was her time to make) I turned off my PS3, ate half my dinner and stopped to think if I saved... Naturally my mind was going in the lines of [censored]in [censored] [censored] [censored] crap[censored]!

Oh umm. Hmm. I am a hoarder. I collect everything. I went and got the Solitude house, did the quests to get it. Transfered everything from The breezehome to the new house. Organized everything. Spent 3 hours getting it perfect and the game froze. It was right after I was forced to turn off auto saves on the ps3 so I was not use to manually saving.

The stuff still is organized. I refuse to ever touch it.

1st char. Bounty to kill gaint, Had both gaints in area down to 3/4's health, 1 mammoth dead, one at half health....Dragon attacks. Thankfully the Dragon actually helped with killing the gaints and mammoth. 1/2 hour after dragon showed up he had one teeny tiny little dot of health and a thunderstorm knocked my electricity out! I had just changed the settings to fewer auto-saves. When the electricity came back on and I reloaded... :wallbash: staring at 2 gaints and two mammoths.

There's a shout that sends you into a sprint. You just shoot forwards 20 feet or so.

For some reason the game likes to default to this one when I load even though I never equip and you go to shout someone off a mountaintop and instead fly past them and plummet to your death.

Unhappiness follows.

Hmm, never really ran into this, my game seems to autosave every 2 minutes. I guess the worst time is falling off the mountain dodging a frost troll on my first trip up to High Hrothgar, was almost to the top and had to start all over. >.<

i love walking around and just doing alot of stuff. Was walking in the mountains, came across a snowy sabre cat. wasnt prepared and died. luckily had saved about 2 minutes before. reloaded and tried again as i am very stubborn and the quickest way to an objective is a straight line. Damn cat was in the way of said line. Got to him, killed him. Restored health, get immediately attacked by spriggan. Killed that hoe. Then turn my attention to the ice wraith making its way toward me. As I prepare to own the ice wraith, I see a dragon making its way toward me and hear the familiar sound of a spell making its way towards my person. Still to this day, I have no clue what killed me in the instant that they seemed to all attack at once...... not really a "Crap! I forgot to save!" moment, but still just as annoying :)

I just made a wood elf with that name an hour ago! :foodndrink:

Anyways, the worst time I had forgotten to save was when I was Lvl 10 mage, I was fighting my first dragon on Master difficulty near Dawnstar and managed to kill him in about 15 minutes. I got his soul and the shout from the wall and then I noticed that Lydia died, as annoying as she can be, she was very helpful in the fight with the dragon so I carried her to the nearest giant camp to put her body on the fire, as you might know, you move really slow when carrying a body so when I got to the giant camp one of the "Peace loving" giants starts walking towards me from behind, he get's to close to me, turns hostile and sends me a few hundred feet in the air. Most recent save: The begining of the fight with the dragon :stare:

Was having a great time playing as a Wood Elf ranger type. Wanted to keep faendal as a follower for the entire game. We were doing great sneaking and complimenting each other with bow and sword. At one point we were exploring behind Whiterun and a sabre cat attacked. For some reason he went straight to Faendal, bringing him to his knees. I figured no big deal, i can finish the sabre quick... However, my svcky aim with a sword... I swung towards the cat, but i strike Faendal instead killing him. Best case scenario was reloading, but it was so far back being that i was exploring, etc for quite some time. I got discouraged and deleted my game

Honestly, I'd say never. I have my autosaves set to 10 minutes so I am never too far from where I last was.

svckiest time for me has just been recently as I have come across an enormous bug I didn`t expect. usually I save regularly, but because this was in a civilian place I didn`t bother for ages.

It was when I tried to get married. Every time it killed two people inexplicably and then everyone hated me. Marriages just will NOT work...

So Now I`m having to go to a save WAYBACK when I was wandering the wilderness near Riften. A pain.

I used the master spell, "Call to Arms" to buff my minions in my archmage's quarters.

If you want to leave the archmage's quarters, you usually have to move through at least 2-3 rooms that autosave.

I went downstairs to buy some stuff off one of the merchants.

When I got back to my archmages quarters I realized that EVERY SINGLE ITEM, quite possibly hundreds, was knocked off the shelves and lying around on the floor.

I had overwritten all of my autosaves.

I am certainly not going to put everything back in its place.

I am gonna have to live with everyone at the college complaining about how I am a slob, since almost everyone at the college walks through the archmage's quarters at some point during the day :(

I just finished the Ring of Hircine quest and was looking at the reward in my inventory, which is a very tiny Ring. But instead of equipping it I pressed X by accident and ended up dropping it and then it rolled down a hill where I lost sight of it. I looked for a good 30mins trying to find the stupid thing because my last save was hours ago before I even started that quest. Needless to say I couldn't find the damn thing for the life of me ... so I just roll without it =/

You don't even know...

Going to the place that Mercer from the TG goes to after looting the place of everything and bouncing. I get there with both my Nightingale buddies just fine..

I get through THE ENTIRE Dwemer Ruin to the point the Dark Elf girl says Mercer is really close by... on my way to that specific moment I DIED. Guess where I went back to? The FRIKKING ENTRANCE! All that work.. which was like at LEAST an Hour and a Half even trying to get through it fast... just wasted down the drain. GONE.

I was so mad... I didn't even want to play Skyrim for the whole rest of the day. Then I said F it loaded back up and just speed ran through it and got it done and continued. But almost 2 hrs of my life.. just GONE never to return.

In the main quest,
Spoiler
I started the first battle with Alduin with my two-handed warrior character. I had very little potions and my character was crap at restoration, so it was a daunting battle. After it was over, I listened to Paarthunax go on about something and, since I was on a no-fast-traveling kick, I decided to walk down the mountain the hard way. I'm usually pretty good at this, but somehow I slipped and fell all the way down the mountain. And of course I didn't save and had to go through tthe whole battle again.

How about one of the svckiest time I DID save?
I cleared a cave of bandits with Lydia as my follower and then having killed the last one, I saved so I wouldn't have to fight them again. Then I found out Lydia had died in the battle. Seeing as I just saved while she's dead, she was going to stay that way permanently :(

I was level 70 something and still experimenting with my perk plan, and ended up spending my last available point at the time on something that, later, I learned wasn't worth it.

I had no backup saves to go back on my decision. I had to start all over just to get the perks I wanted. I'm level 81 now and that's done and over with, but DAMN that svcked.

Went into a dungeon to save some guys friend from a Spriggan nest with my level 4 character. Killed all the tough as fossilised trees Spriggans inside the nest. Met up with the guy waiting outside for his friend. Went on my way and once i got down the hill got jumped by some sneaky mud crabs near a stream which killed me. Found out when Skyrim reloaded the latest save it was outside the dungeon before i had cleared it of the super strong Spriggans. Noooooo! AiiiEEEYAAAA!!!
