WOW, I can plan other games like Uncharted 2, COD fine, but I can't play this? Plus the master account(my parents) let me play it...how do I fix this....soo annoying.

Why did you let your parents have the master account?

Why do your parents have the master account? If you had it you could fix this without your parents. =/

Why not? I'm just 16. Plus they disabled it, so I can play online...
My parents are right beside me.

EDIT: Basically it's them asking, how they can fix it.

I was 14 when I got my PS3, and I didn't let them set it up/have the master account (they are technologically handicapped though).
I don't have an answer though - sorry. I think your best bet would to be post this on the splash damage forum.

I know you CAN allow your sub accounts to play games online.

Not 100% sure how - but your best bet would be asking on the Playstation forums, not here.

Or google it - there's probably some pictorial/video guides you can find easily enough.

Do you know what is very refreshing for this day & age?
It's refreshing that there are still kids out there who respect their parents and it's also very refreshing that there are still some parents left who give a [censored] about what their kids get up to.

To answer the question. I've not been able to get onto the PSN myself yet but don't expect everything to be smooth sailing for the next few days.
There WILL be several 'teething problems' I'm sure. ;)

That sounded like an attack on me/my parents. I respect my parents because they give me a little independence. It would be an insult to my intelligence to expect any less. If I was to be guided through life until I was 18 by my parents and government rating agencies I would have the personality of a vegetable. Back off.

He means that he got it out of the box, he put the leads into the TV, he signed up for PSN, he got the master account.

I'm not sure of the exact path, but the parental controls are accessed on the XMB >Settings >Security Settings. Levels are adjusted there.

COD is a higher cert than brink and that works you say.
So I am thinking that it's nothing to do with parental controls. More likely a PSN glitch.

Could be 2 things.
1. Brink has an internal issue with allowing your account to play the game. It could be just 1 more thing added to the list of problems/issues with this game.

2. You need to triple check that your account is set to play online with all levels set up correctly. Sign out, Restart system, Sign in and try again.

I agree.

It's doesn't sound like an attack to me. It sounds like he is happy to see someone listens to their parents and actually does things the way they are supposed too. Insulting your intelligence? Really? I think your post here sounds like an insult to your parents that you think you DESERVE complete independence on a gaming system that has all types of mature and inappropriate content. IF you lived in the day that some of us over the age 30 lived in you would think completely different. There is sooooo much out there that we weren't exposed to and look......I'm not a vegetable. I actually have a pretty good head on my shoulders.

But then again......you can divorce your parents, hear all types of profanity on PUBLIC tv, have your Disney Idol pregnant and STILL on tv. Not being oppressive, just stating that role models and lifestyle is completely different now. I give my daughter ALOT of gaming freedom at the age of 7, but don't mistake my freedom for ignorance. I still monitor what she does.

So, your restricted then? Or did they sign off on you? Don't you have to be 18 or so to play Mature games? Or did you simply put your age over the limit? I can only guess the later.

I seem to agree. With all the issues with this game and the network.

The ratings on the games aren't linked to the age you register on PSN, so they don't block you that way.

PARENTAL CONTROLS allow PARENTS to control what content can be accessed on a sub-account they create.

From the sounds of things, the only thing blocked is ONLINE PLAY - so SINGLE-PLAYER CoD is fine... but he can't go ONLINE to play.

That's what I'm reading anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, OP? - if you can play CoD online, but not Brink, it's a glitch either in the PS3's firmware or in the game's code. Probably best contacting Sony support for that one.
