Optimization on PC?

Post » Mon Mar 28, 2011 2:12 am

Hi, sorry if that is asked before. How optimization on PC will be? I hope it will run smoother than Fallout 3 and will support Dual Cores and we won't have crashing and freezing issues. For myself I can't play Fallout 3 on Windows 7, it is freezing, crashing and I have sound issues etc... I played it on Windows XP when it is released thankfully. I hope New Vegas will be the PC friendly and optimization will be good. I know Obsidian is making buggy games (but awesome games) but I trust them for New Vegas. :) My system specs are Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 GHz, Geforce 9800 GTX+, 4 GB RAM, Sound Blaster X-Fi and Windows 7 64 Bit OS BTW.

Most people ran FO3 fine on Windows 7, including myself. It should be slightly better optimized, but Obsidian probably isnot tweaking the engine too much.

Yeah, I run FO3 on Windows 7 fine. In fact, I had more problems on my XP partition. Maybe you should look into it a bit more. But anyway, yeah, I hope it has better optimization than Fallout 3 did, I don't mind if it still stutters occasionally, but crashing really needs to be addressed.
