Orcs and Halo's brutes?

Was the Orc race heavily influenced by Brutes in Halo?

-They are beast like
-Both are natural fighters

What really drove me to believe this is that...In Halo Lore, to become a 'brute chieftain', the current chieftain must be challenged by a fellow brute, and victor is named chieftain by executing the other in combat.

ALL RIGHT, MY MISTAKE, DON'T NEED 20 KIDS ATTEMPTING TO BE FUNNY AND INTELLIGENT BY MAKING STUPID REMARKS,
My mistake.

And the least you guys can do, is not be [censored]s, and either say, like one guy said, "I think they were both developed from something else" instead of "OMG EPIC FAIL, THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY".

Holy christ, you guys have to learn how to control yourselves

You do realize, don't you, that the TES series is a lot older than the Halo series?

Lolwut?

No, not even a little bit.

They are both probably inspired by various tribal cultures that practiced and believed nearly identical things to what you posted. Or idk the hordes of Orc types that have appeared in thousands upon thousands of fantasy mediums?

Also it is worth mentioning that this series was around since before Halo was even a concept. Let alone before Halo Lore introduced the Brutes into their series.

Actually, I recognized my mistakes but it's nothing like what you just said. I had clear points that most people would be able to grasp, yours is an attempt to be witty and funny, which it failed.

My guess is that they both were inspired by a common archtype, rather than one inspiring the other.
