Other than the 4 DLCs that are coming out would you like to

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:52 pm

Alright it is basically known (or at least commonly speculated) that the next DLCs will deal with the storyline eventually involving Ulysses and all that. So assuming this will be the case would you like to see a (currently there are 4 planned, Dead Money is already released) a 5th DLC that is a whole new subject? Like maybe one that is a new open area to explore (like Point lookout for FO3) or would you rather see one with another linear quest (like Mothership Zeta from FO3)? Or do you think 4 is enough DLCs?

I'd rather have a "game update pack #1" which only fleshes out the main game with new quests, weapons, characters, dialogue, companions, armor, misc items, creatures et cetera.
Tired of the games within a game DLC's and don't want any continuation DLC either.
Rather they just update the real game with stuff.

Well we have kind of an unofficial conformation that there'll be like 7 DLCs. My geuss is there will be 4 Dead Money related DLCs and like 2 other DLCs like Area 51 and an open world one.

If they do area 51 I hope that will be open world. I would love to fully explore the airbase.

this. either this or perhaps another trip to the past to witness a historic (not anymore, lol) event/battle against the chinese. heck, maybe when maxson leaves mariposa after the bombs fell with his troops to find a new haven. or perhaps the yangtze memorial flashback or something?

Well, with the game update pack there is a new side-storyline that's about 3 to 6 quests long.
But the main point of it would be to flesh out the rest of the game.

To be honest, I would love a Khans DLC where I can lead them to the top, like, a main quest DLC for Khans, or maybe BOS.
Would require a whole new line of ending sliders but still, would be pretty awesome IMO.
Would also increase replay value since ending sliders can vary even if siding with the same faction. (Example, CL, one for Caesar, one for Lanius.)

Well im pretty sure honest hearts will be open as it takes place in the mormon town of New Caanan which is meant to be prettty big,
The third dlc Old World Bllues which is supposed to take place in the big empty which is like fallouts area 51,will more than likely be linear
and the Lonesome road the fouth dlc will open the large empty area on the west side of the map so that will be pretty big.As for other potenial dlc's i would love to see the Nursery from van burren,New reno again, and Dog city/Denver.

Eh, I'm pretty sure they're all going to be completely independent from each other, with references to the other DLCs. Keep in mind that they have to make it accessible in any order, and make it so you don't have to have the others to understand any of them. So "unrelated" would just mean no references, so I don't care.

As a PC user, I'd prefer DLCs that add new areas as I can get new stuff for the existing game with mods. However, for the sake of console users, a "game update" DLC could be nice.

I'd also love to see some DLCs that give useable companions that can be brought back to the main game!

I would like an Operation Anchorage sytle dlc , not in that it's a simulator set in the past I would like it to be similar in that it introduces a ****ton of new and high-level equipment.

I would like to tie up any loose ends from Dead Money. I only killed one of the four main characters and would like to run into some of them again.

I'm that one dude that voted for a linear storyline.
Not that I don't love open-world DLC's more, it's just that I really wanna see the Simulators in Nellis opened up and used for something..

I was saying what I'd prefer to have over game within game DLC's.
It was not a statement of that a game update pack is in fact in the works. (But I hope they do consider doing something along that or at least flesh out the "actual game" with bonus content along with the game within game DLC's.)

Gab I'd rather see it as a mega patch then a DLC if it's going to offer game improvements. If it just going to add additional items and companions then keep it a DLC.

IIRC if the new content is big then Microsoft and Sony forces the developers to put a price tag on it.
So I dunno how it would work or if it would work but if we can't have it patched in like regular patches then I think this would work for the best.
I just think that they should spend their time fleshing out the real game instead of giving us mini-games for 8 bucks.
If the only way is to scoop all the new main game content up and release it as an Update Pack #1 DLC then I'd say go for it.
I think it's better than no main game content at least.
