Out of the loop

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:17 am

I stopped following New Vegas when I picked WoW back up but as the release date approaches I decided to look up how things have came along with New Vegas and one the first things I saw was the voice over cast list and seeing a very familiar name, I frantically started searching and came across http://bulk2.destructoid.com/ul/181927-FalloutNV-end_header.jpg. I almost wet myself with excitement. I am so happy to see Marcus is back. Can someone direct me to a summery of confirmed game features and content? I'm so giddy right now, its embarrassing. lol

Head to the Fallout Wikia. This forum combined with the Wikia are THE most reliable sources of information on the latest happenings in the Fallout realm.

I stopped following New Vegas.

I stopped searching for info and just 'liked' the Facebook page. Newsfeed pops up with links to all the coverage it's getting in mags and whatnot. Updates, news, etc. Easy source of info for the lazy... like me.

S'taking too long... and yet, I'm just praying it's gonna be stable, so I don't care if it gets pushed back, as long as when it arrives... it doesn't make me work to play it.

Oh ok gotcha...I don't think the stability will be THAT poor to where it will be a chore to play so don't worry.

I hate to say it, but the Vault isn't all that reliable. Again, I refuse to believe anything that lists a Cyberpunk Cowboy SMG, and they also actually return false information to its original state when you edit something that's wrong. The only really reliable information can be found http://www.nma-fallout.com. It's basically the same stuff that shows up in the Vault except it generally shows up earlier and is less likely to be bull poopy.

The Vault is almost all transcribed information. NMA has links to the original source and provides clean information. There's just something about having something listed as the Cyberpunk Cowboy SMG that irks me. Why couldn't they just choose a more subtle name like Compact SMG or something else? Someone just saw it in a relatively old by now magazine preview and the CCSMG was born. The Vault is great for stuff that gets directly posted there and (with some exceptions like the CCSMG) lists of confirmed items, but NMA is still overall the best.

I've heard negative things about nma from these very forums though. How they are fruitless and jaded among other things...

Well, I'll keep my rather brash about NMAs users aside, I just don't use NMA. And yes the Vault is able to be trolled, but they do try to fix things, someone once claimed butch ends up as a slaver or some garbage and it was fixed the next day. I think the reason that piece of crap named SMG still stands is there is a source for it. The Vault is what helped me become a walking tome of locations and item info. So I have alot of love for it to be honest.

@Miami-Thats another [censored]storm for another day.
